Panamanians Celebrate Easter Time

Beginning with the Ash Wednesday and ending on Easter Sunday, people celebrate Holy Week in Panama.   Many churches hold special services in holy week and millions of catholic goes with faith and hope.

Holy week commemorate and remember the last week of Jesus’ life on this earth and it`s a reflection and forgiveness time.

Palm Sunday, is the first joy of holy week, and we celebrate our Lord’s triumphant entrance into Jerusalem, Holy thursday is the commemoration of the last supper of Jesus Christ with his apostles in Jerusalem.   Friday is a quiet day because catholics commemorate the passion and crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

On Saturday, Panamanians and millions of catholics around the world go to water and fire blessing, but the most happy and big holiday is Easter Sunday because we celebrate the Jesus Christ’s resurrection after his crucifixion.
